Authors' affiliation bug

mberenguel
I'm new to LyX and I'm having trouble with the author list of a scientific paper. The document class is set to "article ACS". The order of authors that I need is exactly the order of the authors in the following code, where Authors A, D and E belong to institution 1, and Authors B and C belong to institution 2: \documentclass[english]{achemso} \usepackage[T1]{fontenc} \usepackage[latin9]{inputenc} \makeatletter \title{This is the Title of the Doc} \author{Author A} \affiliation{Institution 1} \author{Author B} \author{Author C} \affiliation{Institution 2} \author{Author D} \author{Author E} \makeatother \usepackage{babel} \begin{document} \maketitle \end{document} This is the source code LyX provides me with (I am not coding it). As you can see, LyX does not include any affiliation after Authors D and E, even though I included a paragraph class "Affiliation" with the text Institution 1. What I get when compiling is: If I change the name of the institution then the code \affiliation with its tag appears automatically. The problem is that when I compile, I don't get the correct symbols next to the last 2 authors' names indicating their affiliation, even though I tried setting the paragraph styles in different ways. Could somebody help me out?
